Its finally Christmas! Merry Christmas everyone!
Funny to say that this year's Christmas is different! Back in KL, Christmas decorations are off the roof! And Christmas songs play and play and play all day long.. But now, coming to Laos, it surprised me that decorations are very few, there were no Christmas trees except for at my friend's place, and there were no songs playing!
No matter, I have a destiny I shall fulfill! =P haha! And I shall! This is the update for today... XP God bless you all! Have a great year up ahead! =D
I miss Malaysia.. T-T"..
But yet, I don't want to go back there and have to retake form 4 again.. XP
The advantages of living in a city like KL is that, there are tons of things you could blog about(like how Jo blogged about his life with his best friend, Mid Valley Megamall.. XP)..
Here on the other hand.. There is NO Mid Valley! =.="... While Malaysians have football clubs and officially trained football players to represent their country, Laos has Tuk Tuk drivers to play for their national team(As I've heard from an unreliable resource..XP)!

Halloween party in my school was held on friday.. Just a few days back.. I, wanting to join in, dressed myself up as a mummy.. Actually I wouldn't say dress myself up.. Its more like I was just thinking of rolling myself up in toilet paper.. XP
But my mum bought some bandages that I could use, so my cousin started rolling them over my hand, and then my face.. But the prob is, instead of looking like a mummy, I look like someone who just came out of the hospital.. =.=".. But I was in need of something to dress up as so yea, hospital ghost or mummy, I'll take it anyway.. And yes, I was confronted with questions like "What are you?" =.=".. Strange enough, some kid really thought I was injured and kept pressing my hand, trying to hurt me.. XP
Home alone...
My parents recently left for KL last sunday, leaving me and my siblings at home with my uncle and aunt... It was a pretty different experience.. It seems like suddenly I'm in a completely different family environment.. But its a good thing I get to contact my dad via his Lao mobile nowadays.. and they'll be back tmr! Its kinda uncomfortable tho, cuz the time they left, I suffered the rash!(which turned out to be flea bites.. =.="... So painful at times) But it gives me the feeling they trust me enough that I could take care of my siblings.. Wahaha..
Thats enuf for now I guess, I can't think much cuz I'm blogging amidst my classmates in ICT period.. XP
Till then!

Ahh, its good to be able to blog again(about something that is.. haha)
Just yesterday, I was awaken by a terrible pain of rashes 4a.m in the morning! No idea why suddenly rashes started to appear all over my body.. And it irritates me like mad cuz it made me stay up till 6am! Which was when I just couldn't take it anymore and went straight to the showers and prepare for school.. And it still hurts even until now.. Argghhhh!
However, another thing which I confronted this past week was something my friend posted up in her blog, something about false prophets.. To be honest, I've never confronted someone who actually "claimed" to be the "Messiah".. So it was kind of a surprise when I read her entry regarding that.. Then she came up with a kind of complex question, which was, why ppl choose to follow those false prophets anyway when all the time they've been reading The Bible, it says "beware of false prophets", why is it that they want to take the chance of taking the one-way ticket to hell. What's more interesting was that, not only do ppl follow, the attendance of that Church increases each day!
Which was what led me to the parable about the seeds... Not because they were planted there, its because they chose to be planted there.. And also, I recalled what Jesus' said "unless you know what I'm made of, You'll never see the kingdom of Heaven". Simple enough, that was all that was needed to do, know who Jesus really is!
{Still no internet connection! XD}

Pondering Stream: Malaysia finally enters the space arena.. I wonder how long we'll last.. XP
School's been pretty tough in terms of language so far, first time ever I've been given an assignment to write a 500 words long essay(Not that I can't do it, just that no one ever told me to do it.. haha!) on the future, but in a team, so yesterday I went to my friend's house to do our assignment along with three other classmates and we all planned on what to do and started oin our work, but before that, we had a race to see who can type the fastest and the fastest would have to type the essay... Pretty easy job, I thought to myself, but after carefully planning on what to write, my enthusiasm turned to what I call boredom-ism.. While the rest sang karaoke after they've down writing down and giving me the papers of their essay for me to write, I was busy typing and carefully making sure the essay was super.. Haha... Man, I shouldn't have typed so fast in the race in the first place! XP
Other than that, school is really fun and interesting, got to really improve my english alot, now I notice that I seldom use "lah" and "aiyo" XP I wonder how different it'll be when I speak to my friends in Malaysia if this continues... Haha..
What I learnt in youth that day really somehow revived my conscious.. I just found out that I somehow like to just take everything in my bare hands.. What I haven't realize for a while now was that I had to rely on God, no matter how small or big the problem is, it doesn't change the fact that God is still the Alpha and Omega and He knows best, and who am I to make decisions that I don't even know what the consequences are? Especially when you're in Laos and officials are everywhere to hunt you down.. XP I was quite glad to hear that they are actually opening up lil' by lil' to the gospel.. Hallelujah! XP
One mistake God simply pointed out to me was that I take things for granted too much.. What I failed to see was God's will for that particular "small" thing... This is it, no more looking down at things, gotta focus more on what God wants me to do about that, rather than look from the sideline and complain about it... Praise God for showing me my mistakes.. Can't imagine what I'll be without Him pointing out my mistakes!
The truth does really set YOU free.. Haha.. God Bless!

Woohhh... Its been a long time since I update... I couldn't really update much nowadays cuz still no internet..
On my birthday however.. Things were abit different this year, with me being here in Laos.. But this year, my classmates bought a cake and we ate it during recess! haha.. that was one of the most surprising thing my friends ever done for me.. But other than that, I received alot of wishes and also one really encouraging message from Jo Ng.. Haha.. That itself its such a gift..
In a country where I just can't find the spiritual nourishment that I need, I just learn to trust on God's strenght and stand still and wait for Him... The incredible thing is that I can rely simply on God's strenght as I carry out each day's work... I know He'll make a way..
Well I think thats all for now.. XP Keep praying for me guys...
God Bless!

Its bee awhile since I blogged about Laos.. And I suddenly got the itchiness to blog about a place where I recently went with my family and it so happens that they were holding a vietnamese fair there... ITECC is what they chose to name it.... Seriously no idea who came up with the weirdo-fying name but its actually and most probably one of the only places Lao ppl(who happen to stay in the capital) go to hang out.. XP
Its actually not bad, with a bowling alley, a go-kart *ahem* deserted, a place to play snooker and the only cinema in Laos(yea, the ONLY cinema in LAOS.. Awwwsome!... Not.. XP).. Put it all together and you have Itecc... If you want to call it itik, then by all means, call it itik.. Some people from the radio station calls it Ee-teck.. I call it i-teck.. The sign outside the shopping mall reads "ITECC".. Errrr..... X-X"...
The funny thing is, this place only opens when theres a fair... It actually looks like one of those Thai fairs in Mid Valley, the one held in the convention hall before.. Yea, exactly like that.. The one part about this place that I don't get is that for every fair there is, theres bound to be some stalls that are always there during whatever fair there is.. =.="... "Modern life fair" you appear, "Vietnamese Fair" and "Furniture Fair" also you appear... What fair will you NOT appear?? XS Especially those stalls selling clothes that came all the way from Thailand.. They must've applied for the platinum-gold membership in that place.. XP Either that or they were influenced by Jo Ng's "Saya (n)anti-rasuah" XD
Fortunately this time there was some difference and it was according to the theme "Vietnamese Fair".. THOUGH those faithful stalls still appear... XP Hey... Who am I to interfere between a merchant and his faithfulness to Itecc? XP
As I was walking and taking some pics here and there(while trying not to look like I'm taking pictures for plans to break in and rob their merchandises) my eyes spotted something...
Is this for real you asked? Lets get a closer look...
Vacuum chinese sausage.. O_O"! This must be a warning to all chinese boys to zip their pants! XP *Gasp* Then what happens to guys who don't have zip in their pants? XoX" *holds on to shorts*
P.S: Beware of any vacuum devices.
Anyway, I noticed Vietname is actually a pretty modern place.. I had no idea Vietnam looked like Penang.. XD
You all must be thinking Laos is not really that bad cuz still got cinema and stuff right... Well I've never been to the cinema la but after hearing the experience my cousin had, I'm not sure I want to.. XP He said about hearing the sound of bowling pins getting smashed and the sound of the movie playing at the other side while he was watching a movie.. Haha! Thats cuz the bowling alley its just next to the theatre while theres only two rooms to watch movies.. XP And it'll be like a month before the movie thats showing in Thailand comes out.. Spiderman 3 for example..
It'll be great to at least have starbucks here in Laos.. XP At least can have a lil taste of being in Malaysia.. lol.. BUT THERES absolutely none! T-T"... Well theres something called Dao Coffee, which I thought would taste like any chocolate shake would taste like, with cream top, but being an optimist that I was turned me down.. XP I present to you, Dao cocoa shake:
You can still see a lil of those small ice chunks.. XP Made it hard for me to drink it.. and the cream wasn't cream at all! =.=".. It tasted like what you get when you blend milk and ice.. XP How sad-tisfying.. XD ok la ok la, shouldn't be that mean.. XP But goodness, they even have a plasma tv in their shop! Make that two plasma tv! =.="..Don't tell me they don't have enough money to buy a proper blender and whip cream maker.. XS I don't have a plasma tv and I still can buy(well not now la, no money yet... lol) what ppl call whip cream in a can.. XP Why don't you give me that plasma tv and I'll sell it to buy a blender for and whip cream for you and the rest of the money goes to my wallet.. You happy, your customers happy, I also veli veli happy.. XP
Merdeka celebration this year for me was one of the most loneliest ever.. XD Heard that Malaysia low on budget till can't display fireworks.. XP Chatted with Vince and Vicky till midnight and was bugging Vince with the Jalur Gemilang song.. XD I was practically singing tanggal 31 to myself, alone in my room.. lol.. What a celebration.. Well at least I bought back a souvenir from KLIA.. "I Love Kuala Lumpur" magnet.. LOL.. Swt-ness of me..
Evan almighty was a fun movie.. I really like the dance.. XP and the way "God" in the movie talked was also life-like.. The surprising yet funny thing was at the end of the movie.. "Thou Shalt Do The Dance" LOL... I remember hearing it from somewhere before.. Forgotten where... Oh well that ends my post for now... Take care guys..
